How to Join Big Red Curtain Stage Schools
The first step of joining us is to arrange a no obligation taster session or look out for our next open day event and contact us to book a a Free Trial at our Stage School and see what we're all about,
After you've come for a Taster Session and decide to join you'll need to fill out an application form, which is about past experience (if any) and medical information for health and safety. Then we can arrange a small audition with us... DON'T WORRY the audition is only to establish the student's current level for examinations and for us to learn about each students strengths. You will be given a piece of drama and a small verse & chorus of a music theatre song or any vocal piece. The accent is NOT on learning the drama piece from memory but being able to read with characterisation. Auditions are held separately and do not have to performed in front of a group, just in front of one of our teachers
NOTE: NO AUDITIONS are required for entry to our Holiday Workshops or Early Years 3-6yr olds
Open-Day Visitors What to Wear
If you are coming for an open-day session we would recommend wearing comfortable flexible clothes that you can move easily in avoid wearing jeans if possible as they are hard to stretch and move in. Trainers are probably the best form of footwear for the open day session. But jazz shoes or Dance Trainers can be brought as well.
