Holiday Workshops

Big Red Curtain Stage School holds a variety of Holiday Workshops and Master Classes over the School Holidays usually during the Summer Holidays and October Half Term. Our Workshops are open to everyone and there is no audition required some Workshops have Age recommendations bust most are suitable for Ages 7 to 18.

Summer Workshops are held over five days (usually Monday to Friday) and are generally 6 hours per day which can vary from (9am-3pm to 10am-4pm). In the week long workshop we select well known musicals and films as a theme and perform devised versions and extracts from them, information on our workshops and the chosen theme is generally published on our website a couple of months before the school holiday. At the end of the week there is a performance in full costume where family and friends are welcome to attend free of charge.

Master Classes are usually held for one day and are generally 6 hours per day which can vary from (9am-3pm to 10am-4pm).

Our Holiday Workshops run during the school summer holidays and include varied classes including advanced singing and drama, performance, microphone techniques and general stage skills. The classes are taught by our fully qualified music and drama teachers who work within our main stage school. After the classes are complete the workshop cumulates in an end of week one-off live performance which is open for family and friends to attend.

What to Wear

There is no set uniform for the workshops, however we recommend clothes suitable for high activity e.g. jogging/tracksuit bottoms and T-shirt. Trainers, Dance Trainers or Jazz shoes only for footwear please.

Food & Lunch Break

Please bring your own packed lunch and enough to drink for the whole day, it's thirsty work!

We can also arrange lunch to be delivered through a local sandwich shop if required, we would prefer all food to be ordered together. We order from one local sandwich shop as this ensures all food arrives together, we can provide you with a menu and contact details on request. If you prefer to go to the local shops (venue appropriate) we require a signed consent form to be completed for insurance purposes.
